 Having a learning disability does not mean you can not learn. But you need some help and you need to work hard. If you have learning disability, such as slow reading “dyslexia `` remember that you are not slow.Learning disability happen because the way of person `s brain has many information that are kept in brain. As a result, people learn differently. There are people who know how to do just that, your parents and teachers can help you or explain to you some information not all.  

 What are learning disabilities?

Learning disabilities are not contagious, but they can be genetic. That means they can be passed down in families through the genes. Some one with a learning disability probably has other family members who have had some learning troubles, too.  If you read more slowly than others you have to re-read often to understand, or spend a lot of time studying than other students, you might have a significant learning problem. We all learn differently and there are many stages in the learning process where things might go wrong. The severity of learning problems can vary greatly. One student may need to become more organized in order to succeed anther might learn to study differently for different kinds of tests.

 How do I know if I have a learning disability?

It is very hard for person to know if he has disorder. But one does not have to figure all this out on his own. What person needs to tell some one? Start with teacher and his mom or dad. Your teacher will ask you some question such as:Do you struggle in school?Do you think you should do better than you are in school?Is reading harder for you than it should be?But even if you say yes to some of these questions, you will not know until you visit learning specialist.
